Lyblac
Privacy Policy
Summary
This policy explains what Benjamin McGill ("we") collects when you use Lyblac, and why. It takes effect on 7 October 2026.
In short: we collect the least we can. There is no advertising in Lyblac, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no analytics profile. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
What we collect
Lyblac has no accounts. We do not ask for your name or email address, and we do not run a server that holds your information.
Your book. The items and quantities in your cabinet, your journal entries, the workings you write, and your settings are kept on your phone only. We never receive them.
Subscription status. When you subscribe, Apple or Google processes the payment and we never see your card details. Our subscription service, RevenueCat, receives a random identifier made for your installation of the app, together with the purchase record from the store, so that it can tell the app whether your subscription is active. It holds no name or email address for you.
We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifier, photographs or browsing activity. The moon phases and festival dates are calculated on your device.
Microphone
One section, the Sixty-Six Seals, asks you to say a short phrase aloud and uses your microphone to hear it. The listening is done by your phone's own speech recognition service, provided by Google or Apple, which may process the sound on their servers under their own privacy terms. We do not receive, record or store any audio. You can refuse the microphone and hold the on-screen seal instead.
Camera and photographs
Lyblac does not use your camera and does not ask to see your photographs.
Why we use it, and our legal bases
We use the subscription record to provide the service you asked for (performance of our contract with you) and to meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting rules.
Who processes it for us
RevenueCat, which tells the app whether a subscription is active. Apple and Google, which process payments and provide speech recognition for the Seals.
Each acts under its own terms and privacy policy. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries.
We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your book stays on your phone until you erase it or remove the app. Records of purchases are kept by the stores and by RevenueCat for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Deleting your data
Everything you create in Lyblac lives on your phone. To erase it, open Settings and choose Erase everything on this phone, or remove the app. We hold nothing else about you that we could delete.
To ask RevenueCat to delete the anonymous purchase record for your installation, write to goodboytraining.vic@gmail.com and we will arrange it within 30 days.
Erasing your book does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple Account or Google Play settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to receive a copy, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California have the right to know, delete and correct, and not to be discriminated against for using those rights; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
To use any of these rights, write to goodboytraining.vic@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Lyblac is not directed to children and may not be used by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
Your book is kept on your phone and protected by your phone's own security; none of it travels to us. Purchase information is handled by Apple, Google and RevenueCat over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app first. Questions may be sent to goodboytraining.vic@gmail.com.
